*About ACD
The Art and Design Film Festival is a "mini-festival" with a distinct independent and underground vibe. It showcases a captivating lineup of documentaries, including a nostalgic journey through vintage cassette tapes, the survival story of the world’s last Blockbuster, a mysterious meditation woven from sound and image, and a ten-year anniversary screening of the rise and fall of the maker movement.
This year’s theme, "Analog," goes beyond nostalgia to encourage exploration. In an AI-driven era, analog craftsmanship and artistic creation may seem inefficient, yet they could embody humanity’s last romance.
*Watch movies in the heart of creativity
Get ready for a unique screening experience at this year’s ACD Film Festival! Unlike traditional theater screenings, we’re inviting you into the heart of creativity—a 360-degree immersion in the world of Analog. This year’s venue is the basement of Moon Romantic Taipei, a space typically reserved for live music but now transformed into an intimate indie cinema. Picture this: soft foam mats, plush pillows, and cozy blankets await, letting you settle in comfortably on the floor, almost as if in your own living room. Bring along your favorite stuffed animals, pillows, even your pajamas and slippers to make it all the cozier. For those who prefer a traditional seat, chairs will also be provided.
The venue’s high-quality sound system ensures an immersive audio experience, while the first floor houses a curated shop offering tapes and uniquely designed items to explore. And if you'd like, treat yourself to a drink with our selection of onsite alcoholic beverages (not included in ticket prices).
*Films
At this mini film festival, you’ll experience four carefully selected films, each followed by a post-screening discussion with experts from related fields. These discussions will allow you to dive deep into the emotional resonance of each film and gain an intimate perspective on the artistry and craftsmanship that bring these stories to life.
